Ltd. presented a brief to the Commons finance committee today criticizing the government's proposed white paper on tax changes because it would reduce private Canadian savings. The government estimated in its white paper that personal-savings would be reduced by after five years of the proposed tax change total savings o( about National Trust President E. H. Heeney of Toronto said Canada will need increases savings to finance production expansion. District superintendent Cecil Kerlev of General American Oil Co. said that lightning struck one oil tank causing an explosion and fire which spread to other tanks.
