Archery, Trapshooting, Small Bore, Equestrian, Special Golf. WHO MAY COMPETE Any resident of lethbridge. Summer Games is for NOVICE COMPETITION with emphasis on MASS PARTICIPATION, at well as physical and social Involvement for everyone regardless of age, sex or ability. OBJECTIVES OF SUMMER GAMES To en-courage grass root sports programs involving the greatest number of people possible, participating in their own community. To provide 'basic and intermediate levels of competition for those sports which are deemed beneficial but not presently established in the Southern Alberta area. Be a Community Booster LETHBRTCE ELIMINATIONS SOUTHERN ALBERTA SUMMER GAMES TRACK AND FifLD WHEN Saturday, June 17th smarting at P a.m. WHERE Civic Sports Centre AGE CATEGORIES IB and 16 and 17 14 and 15 13 and (As of January 1st, 1972) ENTRY FEE 50c PER EVENT Who may compete: Any Lethbridge resi- dent who has not won a Provincial Cham- pionship or better in the last two years. {A person who has won in a track event may not enter any track events but may enter field events, and vice versa.) LETHBRIDGE ARCHERY CLUB in connection with tria Community Summer Program Presents AN ARCHERY CLINIC Lethbridgo Archery Club In Indian Battle Park, storting Juno 13th and continuing every Tuesday till July 11 inclusive, p.m. Purpose of this clinic will be to provide practice, with instruction available for all people wishing to enter tho Summer Games. The clinic a load- up to the regional elimination on Tuesday, July 18. Winners of tho regional eliminations will Irovel to Bow Island to represent Lethbridge in tho Summer Games. Cost for the six lessons will be 25c for those 14 and under and 50c for those IS and over. (Equipment will be available for newcomers.) Registrations will be accepted at tho Summer Games offices. COMPETITIVE SWIMMING WHEN Friday, June 16 starting at 1 p.m. til 5 p.m. WHERE Fritz Sick Pool AGE CATEGORIES 8 and under 9 and 10 years 11 and 12 years 13 and 14 years Open Classification {open swimmers must compete in one age category only) EVENTS Free Style Breast Butterfly Back Individual Medley Freestyle Relay Medley Relay Family Relay ENTRY FEE: 25c PER EVENT WHO MAY COMPETE: All Lothbridgc residents who are either A or B swimmers Note: Registration forms and fem will be ac- cepted at the Summer Gamps Office located m the City Hall Annox.
