Mrs. H. W. (Janet) Derich, and Mrs. J. W. (Alice) Cowie all of Sidney, B.C.. Mrs. M. R. (Stella) Ingoldsby of Lethbridge, Mrs. R. W. (Helen) Knowlden of Saskatoon, Sask.; two brothers, Mr. John Mereski and Mr. Vincent Mereski both of Taber. She was predeceased by her first husband. Mr. Stanley Seleski in 1952. Tony Wolf Child" and Harrisson Wolf Child, all of the Blood Reserve; one daughter, Bertha Crying Head: 34 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by one son, Allen Wolf Child in 1966. Prayers will be held at the home of Edwin Calf Robe Sr. Monday June 3rd at p.m. Requiem mass will be said at St. Catherines Catholic Church, Standoff on Tuesday, June 4th at 10 a.m., with Father J. Born and raised in Hungary the late Mr. Balla came to Canada in the early A veteran of the First World War. he first came to the Calgary district to work on the railroad at Alderysyde. He later moved south to the Lethbridge district, where he worked on several of the CPR branch lines in the south. During the Great Depression he worked in the coal mines in both the Lethbridge district and "the Drumheller Valley during the winter and on farms during the summer. He was one of the original water right holders after the establishment of the Lethbridge Northern. He was a member of the Hungarian Old Timers. Besides his loving wife he is survived by four sons. Mr. Joe Balla of Lethbridge. Mr. William Balla of Catgary. MI. Leslie Baiia of B.C.. Mr. Steve Balla of Northwest Territories: eight grandchildren and one great- granddaughter.
