A [large majority of.those present were {French-Canadian. Dr. Beland was the most effective speaker of the evening. I In his characteristic manner he held attention, of the audience for over Jan hour, discussing the naval ques- tion. He also touched very briefly up- on reciprocity. His remarks were almost on the same lines as when he spoke after the JDrinnmond fight. He pointed out that (the statements made by .Messrs. He con- tended that Conservatives and Na- tionalists were one, and if ever the Opposition got into power JMr. Bor- den would be Prime Minister, and 'his Cabinet would include ists and disgruntled Liberals. j Hon. Sydney Fisher was the last speaker of the evening. He spoke along the same lines as at Farufcaiu Son Saturday last, hinting that unless jtbe Opposition refrained from holding j up the progress of government, a 'change would be made in parliament- ary procedure to the effect that the minority could not. block the progress of the government. Mr. Fisher spoke I in English, and as many were unable to understand him, he was frequently 'interrupted by people going out. In iclosing his discourse on reciprocity. {the minister of agriculture paid a tri- 'taute to Sir Wilfrid Laurier and the work his government had dofe for j Canada. He stated that the govern iraent did not want an election ai this time, Init that it the opposition con- tinued to talk they would go before the people, and he had every confi- dence that, they would be returned. 11.500 acres in T. 6, R. 15, and per acre. 1-4 cash, balance in .three years. acres in T. 6, R. per acre, i-3 cash balance easy is the finest steam plow proposition on the market, all within six miles of the proposed Lethbridge-Weyburn Railroad.
