One outlines the 1969 mercury crisis and the other de- scrihes the Saint John River basin planning and manage- ment program involving inter- governmental jurisdictions. Nancy Burpee, secretary to the Canadian preparatory com- mittee, Wednesday said the pa- pers were selected from dozens submitted from all around the world. Of the more than 50 pa- pers submitted from Canada, only two were selected for pres- entation by the UN committee. F. A. J. Armstrong, of the Freshwater Fisheries Institute in Winnipeg, prepared the paper on mercury. In the paper he said: "Much can be gained by reas sessing the mercury crisis in Canada.
