Rose was arrested at 5 a.m. in an apartment in suburban Ville Emard and offered no resistance, police told a news conference. His girlfriend, Collette Therrien. was with him. Rose was acquitted of kidnap and murder charges laid after the October, 1S70. kidnap-murder of Mr. Laporte, then Quebec labor minister. Mr. Laporte was found slain Oct. 17, 1970, a week after becoming the second man to be kidnapped by the Front de Liberation da ;
