To begin with, she's still with her long-time friend, mentor, partner and discoverer, Justin de Villeneuve. That relation- ship has lasted longer than most marriages and they still seem like young lovers. After "The Boy they spent a year preparing a film called "Gotta Sing, Gotta which was going to be a big and lavish musical. "But we never could raise the money for Twiggy says. "I expect that because 'The Boy didn't do as well as expected." The time wasn't wasted. Twiggy took a lot of dancing lessons and she thinks she's a much better dancer now than she was when she made "The Boy Friend." She also did a lot of knitting she uses a knitting machine and the re- sults were so good a big manu- facturer wants to put out a line of Twiggy knits. "If it Justin says, "it will be a bigger deal than any movie." When they realized that "Gotta Sing" wasn't gonna hap- pen, they began reading some of the scripts sent to her. They finally found one they liked and that's why she's here. It's call- ed "W" and it's being produc- ed by Mel Ferrer and directed by Richard Quine. "They call it a psychological Twiggy says, "but I call it a scary thriller." Will she have to practice up on her screaming? "That's one thing she doesn't have to Justin says. "She screams very well as it is." After this is done, it's back to England and a picture of their own, based on Sir James M. Barrie's ghost sotry, "Mary Jane." And Twiggy, while she's here, will cut her first record. Graham Nash of (Crosby, Stills, etc.) has written a song tor her. "HI cut Twiggy says, "and then see how it sounds tefore I'll let them release it." The two of them are full of plans. About the only item they are not planning on is a child. "No, no children Twiggy says. "Some day, but not yet. Anyhow, Justin has a daughter, 13, by his first wife and we're very close." Justin's ex-wife, Pamela, and their daughter, Mclanie, are still good friends. "We all get Justin says. "Melanie and Twiggy. Pamela and Twiggy. It's very nice. Although there is nothing down in writing I give Melanie an allowance and I buy her clothes. I think I'll bring them both over here in the summer. I see her whenever I want. very civilized." Twigs and Justin like 'Cali- fornia and they plan to rypend three months each year here, to begin with. It'll be for them, and nice for us, '.oo, be- cause they're good perple.
