Recently the neces- sary surface rights were secured and I it 3ias accordingly been decided to j )egin operations. The work has already been started ind the haulap- tunnel is now in about 100 feet on a nine foot seam of oal. When the entry is in 500 feet a crosscutting Tunnel will be both ways to open the adjoining seams. In all five seams will bo f.ap- which win be worked from the one haul ape way. The main searo to be opened lie? to the west of the main entry and it is a seam ing about twelve feet of a splendid quality of coal. To the. east of :he entry lie seams running from tfix to ten feet in thickness, all clean and carrying fine coal.
