In 1906 ie homesteaded in the Barons district and married the former Leone Kane of Iron Springs in 1912 and homesteaded at Cut-bank, Montana in 1913. In 1926 ie moved to the Picture Butte District with his family where be has resided until his passing. Mr. Haney was one of Alberta's Master Farmers in 1960. He was a member of the Picture Butte Lions Club. Besides his loving wife he is survived by, two sons, Mr. Leonard Haney and Mr. Howard Haney both of Picture Butte; four daughters, Miss Frances Haney of Calgary, Mrs. 0. E. (Kathleen Woodhouse, of Calgary, Mrs. J. G. (Alice) Wickend, of Lethbridgc, Mrs. R. B.
