Mr. Whelan said if members were patient be would make a statement in the house on his return. Opposition members sought assurances from the minister that feed grain will not be re- moved from the control of the Wheat Board without the ap. proval of the grain producers. Mr. Whelan said the govern- ment would announce its feed grains policy on August L This aroused the anger of John Diefenbaker, former prime minister and MP for Prince Albert. He said the HMD- isfcer should be in a position to announce the policy now if the decision has been made by the cabinet. Mir. Whelan said the nouncement would be gust 1.
