An itinerary said Mr. Trudeau will arrive at St. Pierre Aug. 3 aboard the Canadian Coast Guard vessel Sir William Alex- ander for "an informal and un- official" four-hour visit. Reporters accompanying Mr. Trudeau on the tour have been advised they will need a pass- port for the morning visit to St. Pierre-Miquelon, last remnant of tlie French colonial empire in North America. It will be the prime minister's second unofficial visit to French skied in the French Alps in early he took office. His office said he will pay a courtesy call on the governor of St. Piei're-Miquelon, then take a tottr of St. Pierre before a pri- vate lunch. A spokesman at the French embassy also described the visil as unofficial and private. It hac been under discussion for at least a month.
