Mark Lenard re-creates Star Trek role Mark Lenard wilt re-create the role of Sarek, Mr. Spook's father, for the new animated Star Trek series, premloring on the NBC Television Network's Saturday morning schedule this fall-. Lenard, who played the role In the episode Journey to Babel on the original prime-time Star Trek series, will provide the voice of Sarek in the Yester- year segment for the animated series. In Yesteryear, Mr. Spock must journey to his own past to save his life as a child. He re- turns to Vulcan, his home pla- net, 30 years in the past, and meets his parents, Sarek of Vulcan, and Amanda of Earth. Leonard Nlmoy provides the voice of Mr. Spock.
