(2) Amount of the loan required to complete the work (3) Sum to he raised an- nually to pay the in- terest.............. 118.56 (4) Sum to be raised an- nually to provide a sinking fund to pay the debt........... 49.84 Total amount to bo AND 'WHEREAS before the con- struction, alte'rataon or extension of any common sewer or system of sewerage or sewage purification and disposal referred, to in. any of the pro- positions above set forth was under- taken, plans and specifications of such construction, alterations and extens- ions, and in connection with the puri- fication and disposal of. the sewage were submitted to and approved of by the Provincial Board of Health and a certificate ot such approval, the. Chairman obtained, stating that the 'proposed construction, alteration or extension .may be carried out and that the construction or extended com- mon sewer or system of sewerage and sewage purification and disposal may be maintained and operated without injury or.danger to the public health. Therefore .the Council of the City of Ltthbrldge EnlcU at Follows: 1. The 'Council, may borrow on the credit of the. "City of Lethbridge the sum or sums ot money required for any or all of the propositions herein- belore referred- to, .namely: For Proposition "A." th'e sum of 865.07. For Proposition "B" the sum of 550.00. For Proposition "C" the sum of For Proposition "D" the sum of For Proposition "E" the sum of For Proposition "f" the sum of For Proposition "Q" the sum of 2. That debentures ot the City of Lethbridge shall be'issued for the sum or sums to be borrowed in one con- secutive issue in such sams as may be deemed expedient and shall have coupons attached thereto for the pay- ment of interest The said debent- ures shall all bear the same date and nhall be .dated and Issund wiWiin two years after the final passing of this and be payable at the expira- tion of thirty (30) years from the date of the issue thereof. 'Such debentures may be expressed either in.Canadian Currency or Sterling money of both In currency and Sterling money of. equivalent value as provided by the Currency Apt as the Council may by resuiiiiiuu direct and shall bear in- terest at -the rate of five per centum per annum payable half yearly and as to 'both principal and interest may be made payable at tho Bank of Montreal in London, .England, or at the chief office of the said Bank in the City of Toronto, the City ot Montreal, or the City of Leilibridge in the Dominion of Canada or- at the chief office or the said Bank in the City of New York In the State ot New York in the United Statos.of America or at any orller place or places In Canada, Great Brit- ain or the United States as the Coun- cil may by resolution direct and such debentures may contain any clause providing for the registration thereof authorized by the Lenhbrldgo Charter. 3. That the said debentures shall be sealed with the seal of the City of Lethbridge and signed by the Mayor and City Clerk. The coupons shall be signed by ihe City Clerk and .the signatures to the coupons may be lithographed or engraved. 4. And in addition to all other am- ounts there shall be levied and collect- ed in each year for thirty years, during tlie currency of tlie said debentures, on all the rateable property in tie City of Lethbrldgc by sbecial rate or rates sufficient therefore, the follow- ing sums for paying the Interest on and for forming a sinking fund for the debt created in respect ot each of tlie said propositions respectively: Proposition "A" TJie sum of 593.25 ahall be rajacd annually to pay the interest and the sum ot 05.73 BhUl be raised annually to provide a sinking fund to pay tlie debt Proposition "B" The sum of 50 sh'all be raised annually to pay thft Interest and the aum ot shall be raised 'annually to provide a sink. Proposition "F" The sum of shall be raised annually to nay tho in- terest and the sum of shall be raised annually to provide a sinking fund to pay the debt. Proposition- "G" Tlie sum of 55 shall be .raised annually to pay the interest and the sum of shall be raised, annually to provide, a. sink- ing fund to pay the debt. 5. That the Mayor shall attend at Ms office in the City of Lethbridge at ten (10) o'clock in the forenoon en the third (3rd) day of August A.D. 1914, and if requested shall appoint two persons to attend'at the Una! summing up of the votes and one person to at- tend at' each polling place on behalf of tlie 'persons interested in.promot- ing the passing of this By-Law and a like nuinliar on behalf of the persons iterested in opposing the passing of this Bj'-Law. C. The City Clerk shall at his office In the City of Lethbridge on the 5th day of August A.D. 1914 at the hour of ten (10) o'clock in the forenoon sum up the number of votes for and against the Bylaw. 7. This Bylaw shall take effect on the day of the final passing thereof., 8. The votes of the burgesses duly qualified to vote on this Bylaw shall be taken, on the 4th day. of August A. D 19W at the following places in the City of Lethbridge, 'between the hours of nine o'clock in the fore- noon and eight (8) o'clock in the afternoon, namely: (a) For that portion of the City lying north' of the C. P. Hallway at the Gymnasium at tho corner of I3th St. and Fourth Ave North, by H. Dawson, who is appointed Deputy Returning Officer to take the votes. (b) For that portion of the City lying of the C. P. Railway at the Labor Temple, facing Now Post Office, on 7th St. South, by E. 0. Stick- ley, who is appointed Deputy Return- ing Officer to tako the votes.
