The Lennox, S.D., firm Cool visit with Barney A cool spot on a hot day during Whoop-Up Days will be the expanded Beer Gardens. Entertainment each night from 9 p.m. to midnight wffl be music by Barney and the Beer Nuts. comes to Lethbridge fay way of Saskatoon, Thunder Bay and Duluth, Minn. Owned by "Bernie" Thomas, the midway represents a million- investment. Conces- sions and sideshows are inde- pendently owned, but pay a commission to Thomas Shows. About a third of the revenue the midway brings in while in Lethbridge goes to the exhibi- tion board. Emphasis has shifted from sideshows to rides, Mr. Thomas says, and new rides have been planned.
