Lethbridge Herald, The (Newspaper) - July 13, 1914, Lethbridge, Alberta MONDAY, JULY IS, 1914 THE IETHBRIDGE DAILY HBHALD PAGE SEVEN CITY OF LETHBRIDGE-MONEY BYLAWS City of Lethbridge BYLAW NO. 245 A BY-LAW TO PROVIDE FOR BORROWING UPON DEBENTURES THE SUMS NECES- SARY TO PAY FOR DOING CERTAIN MU- NICIPAL WORKS IN THE CITY OF LETH- BRIDGE. Amount of the loan required to complete the work Sum be raised an- nually to pay the in- terest Sura .to be raised an- nually to provide a sinking fund to pay the debt be 118.55 49.84 Total amount to raised annually AND WHEREAS before the con struction, alteration or extension of any common sewer or system of sewerage or sewage purification and disposal referred to in any of the pro- positions above set forth was under- taken, plans and specifications of such construction; alterations and extens- ions, and in connection with the puri- fication of the sewage were submitted to and approved of by the Provincial Board ot Health and a certificate of such approval, signed by tho Chairman obtained, stating thai the proposed construction, alteration or extension may be carried out and that the construction or extended com- mon aewer or system oE sewerage and sewage purification" and disposal mas be maintained and operated without injury or danger to the public health AND WHEkEAS the amount of tin assessable property ia the City accord ing to the last revised AsseBsmeni Roll is -and the rateable proportion thereof is AND WHEREAS the amount of the existing debenture debt of the City of Lethbndge, exclusive of local improve- ment debts secured by special assess- ment Is and no part of principal or interest thereof is In arrear, the Council of the City of Lethbrldic Enacts as Follows: 1. That the Mayor shall attend at his office in tho City of Lethbrtjge at ten (10) o'clock In the forenoon on the third day of August A.D. 1914, and if requested shall appoint two persons to attend at the final summing up of the votes and one person to at- tend at each polling place on behalf of the persons interested in promot- ing tho passing of this By-Law and a like number on behalf of the persons Interested in opposing the passing of this By-Law. (i. The City Clerk shall at his office in the City ot Lethbridge on the ath day of August A.D. 1914 at the hour o[ ten (10) o'clock in ,the forenoon sum up the number of votes for and against the Bylaw. 7. This Bylaw shall take effect on the day of the final passing thereof. 8. The votes of the burgesses duly qualified to vote oh' this Bylaw shall be taken on the 4th day of August A. D. 1914 at the following places in tho City of Lethbridge, 'between the hours of nine (9) o'clock in the fore- noon. and bight (8) .o'clock in the afternoon, namely: (a) For that portion of tho City norl-hl of the C.
