The Trophy also included an addi- tional in prize money. In 1972 on the wind blown Muirfield course, Trevino smashed Jack Nicklaus' bid for the Grand Slam, when he put together a string of birdies and sank a couple of unbe- lievable chip shots to take the title. When "Super Mex" steps up to the tee this year he will be facing the most formidable line-up of professionals ever gathered for one tournament Along with Nicklaus and ain's Tony Jacklin, Lee can look for trouble from U.S. Open winner Johnny Milter, the only man with a chance to take the Peter Jackson Trophy for 1973, Arnie Palmer, Tom Weiskopf, Gary Player and many more.
