And, despite a sharp two-day rally, the general trend for the week was downward. Average daily volume of trad- ing at the Toronto stock market was shares. Husky Deal Fund Closed NEW YORK (CP) Husky Petroleum Corp., an American subsidiary wholly owned by Husky Oil Ltd. of Calgary, an- nounced Friday the closing of ils sale of in limited partnership units for a three- year drilling fund. The fund, Hasky Exploration Ltd., is chartered in Colorado and is a limited partnership for United States citizens. The mini- mum subscription, which is pay- able over the term of the pro- gram, is with additional subscriptions available in incre- ments of "In this program Husky Oil will invest 20 per cent and the limited partners 80 per cent of the funds" for drilling explora- tion for oil and gas in both the U.S. and Canada, said Gene E. Roark of Calgary, Husky Oil president. Canada Dry Plans Plant At Edmonton CALGARY (CP) James Blyth, of New York, interna- :ional president of Canada Dry announced here that plans lave been approved for a plant in Edmonton. The plant will employ 100 people. The decision to locate In Ed- monton was made "after studies on the feasibility of ocating in other parti of the country." David W. Smith1, Shell's off- shore exploration and produc- tion manager, said here (he well was plugged at a depth of feet. He said drilling continues at a seventh location and drilling at an eighth site, ahout 190 miles southeast of Halifax, is to be started within the nert few days.
