C6144 PAYNE Lona Irene (Lawless) of Coleman, passed away in the Crowsnest Pas Hospital, Tuesday, July 6, 1971 at age 82 years. She was born in Belle-Plaine, Kansas, U.S.A., July 22, 1888. The late Mrs. Payne came to Canada in 1916, homesteading in Alberta and in 1922 moved to B.C., where she resided until September, 1970 when she came to Coleman to reside with her son, Robert. She was predeceased 3y her husband, Etherley Eaton in Kimberley in 1951 and by one son, William Andrew in 1945 while serving overseas with the RCAF. Survivors include two sons. Jackson Roe of Houston, B.C. and Robert Oliver of Coleman. Funeral service will be held in Fantin's Coleman Chapel, Saturday, July 10 at a.m., with Rev. Bob Smith officiating. Interment will follow in the Coleman Union Cemetery.
