Lethbridge Herald, The (Newspaper) - July 5, 1974, Lethbridge, Alberta 7 If you've bought any clothes chances you've noticed the new labels which tell you how best to care for the garment. The labels tell the story through symbols. Washing is represented by the side view of a wash bleaching by a drying by a ironing by an and drycleaning by a circle. Red indicates yellow means be and green means go ahead. For example a garment label may depict a red washtub and a green which advises the consumer to dry clean the garment. Temperatures are often marked on the symbols to show the temperature above which the garment must not be washed or ironed.
