VICTOR WASILENKO Wasilenko Shay In a setting of evergreens and red poinsettias, Peggy Ann Shay was united in marriage with Victor Wasilenko, son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Wasilenko of Coaldale. The bride is the daughter of Mrs. Lawrence Wadkins of Wenatchee, Wash., and the late Don R. Shay. The bride was escorted to the altar by her stepfather, Lawrence A. Wsdkins. Rev. Michael Campbell officiated at the double ring ceremony which took place in St. Joseph's Catholic Church on December 28. The bridal gown of nylon satin faced organza was styl- Forlhcoming marriage Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Shearer of Picture Butte are pleased to announce the forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Moira Lee, to Bryan Alvon Warnock, son of Mr. and Mrs. Alvon Warnock of Turin. The bride carried a colonial bouquet of white carnations, garnet roses, and baby's breath. The bride's sister, Kathleen Louise Shay of Seattle, was maid of honor. She wore a gown of cranberry red velvet and carried a cascade of white carnations and garnet roses. Best man was Colin Ogilvy of Vancouver, B.C. Ushering was the bride's brother, Richard Shay of Torrance, Calif. A childhood friend of the bride, Monica Harle, accom- panied the soloist Linda Blurnhagen, on the organ. The groom's parents and brother, John, were in attendance as well- as the groom's brother and wife, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Wasilenko of Calgary. A reception followed at the CYO Hall of the church, and family and out of town guests attended a buffet at the home of the bride's parents. The bride is a former stu- dent of Wenatchee High School and graduated from the University of Washington in December. The groom Andrews High School in Coaldale and Wenatchee Valley College. He will be continuing his educa- tion at Douglas College in Vancouver, B.C. where the couple will following a wedding trip to February Vows Dr. and Mrs. G. F. Anderson of Lethbridge are pleased to announce the forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Kathryn to Earl Dexter Scott, son of Mr. and Mrs. Earl Scott of Cardston. The wedding will take place on February 27 in the Alberta Temple, Cardston. A reception is to be held-in Lethbridge. MR. AND MRS. Myrna Green was the organist with soloist Sharon Orr. anniversary Mr. and Mrs. Earl Kirchner of Lethbridge were honored on the occasion of their 50th wedding an- niversary In December in Quartzsite, Ariz., at their winter residence. An open house was held, hosted by their two sons and their wives, Mr, and Mrs. Melvin Schwab ol Quartzsite and Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Schwab of Los Angeles; together with Mr. Klrchner's brother and his wife, Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Marshall of Lethbridge. Our Lady of the Assumption Church was the scene for a double ring ceremony December 21, uniting in marriage Jeanne Comstock and Ron Wagner. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert F. Com- stock of Lethbridge; the groom is the son of Mrs. K. Wagner, also of Lethbridge. Rev. R. D. Chisholm per- formed the wedding ceremony. Organist was Cheryl Wenz; soloist was Ella Heck, aunt of the bride, of Toronto. The bride was attended by her sisters, Linda as maid of honor and Nancy, and by her cousin, Caroline Heck of Calgary. Best man was Otto Wagner, brother of the groom, Bruce Comstock, brother of the bride and Les Veres. The reception was held at the El Rancho Motor Hotel. Master of ceremonies was William Comstock of Bran- don, Man., uncle of the bride. Toast to the bride was given by David Giuchon of Calgary. Following a honeymoon trip to California, the couple took up residence in Lethbridge.
