"I'm gradually educating them.” Mrs. Maclnnis has never hesitated to plunge into the forum of the Commons period. She once delivered a tongue- lashing to her male colleagues for tittering like schoolboys whenever she talked about family planning. “There is a general schoolboy type of titter which goes around when these questions are raised.” Mrs. Maclnnis was born into a political family. Her father was J. S. Woodsworth, ractical a founder of the Co-Operative Commonwealth Federation, forerunner to the NDP. Published reports said Mr. Yaremko, 55, member of tbe legislature for Toronto Bel-lwoods since 1951, had with his wife made a $55,000 profit on land sales in the 12 years after 1959. He still owns 420 acres in the nigged escarpment, particularly in the general area the government has said it plans to preserve as parkland. The solicitor-general said some of his land is within the proposed planning area to be discussed by the cabinet later this year and the remainder is outside it. But Mr. Nixon said that as a member of the cabinet “Mr. Yaremko not only was aware of changing planning regulations and land use restrictions, but had a role in shaping the policy.” Mr. Lewis said: “I think his conflict of interest v. is absolutely clear. The minister holds 420 acres of land right in the area that will be under development control.” Premier Davis, in .
