WHEREAS it -is deemed advisable to raise certain moneys on the credit of the City of Lethbridge for the following purpose, namely: To make up the shortage in current account, now existing duo to the suit! of de- li. That for tho purpom's thereof debentures not exceeding in all the sum of ono hundred thousand (100,-(100) dollars shall be issued payable at the expiration of thirty (30) years from the date of this By-law taking effect, ouch debentures to bo exproHH-; oil both in sterling money and Canadian currency for tlio sum of One i Hundred Founds (�100) sterling and the equivalent thereof in ;!c'larN and cents, ov any multiple thereof with coupons attached thereto for the half-yearly interest on each debenture respectively payable on the ilrst day of January and the first day of July in each year at the rate of five (5) per cent, per annum payable at the Bank of. (b) For forming ft sinking- fund Sot payment of the debt created by aold debentures two thousand one hundred and one dollars and ninety-threc cents (S2101.93.) now.therefore the mayor and council op the city of Lethbridge enact as follows: 1. It snail and may be lawful for the Council of the City of Lethbridge to raise the sum of one hundred thousand (100,000) dollars by way of loan for the purpose of malting up a certain shortage now existing in current account due to the sale of debentures �t less than par value during the three years last past and collected at the same time in the same manner as other taxes are levied payable and collected by statute or by by-law of the City. !>. This By-law shall come into effect on the day of A. D. 1913. 6. The votes of the burgesses duly qualified to vote on this by-law shall be taken on the Fifth day of February, A. D., 1913, at the following places in the City of Lethbridge, between the hours of nine (9) o'clock in the forenoon and five (5) o'clock in the afternoon, namely: (a | For that portion of the City lying north of the CP. Railway, at 317 13th street North. (b) For that portion of the City lying south of the CP. Railway at the old Police Station in the City Hal), situate on 4th street South.
