National Leader MARTIN HATTEKSLEY Alberta President THE SOCIAL CREDIT PARTY OF CANADA U a NATIONAL Political Parly, and NOW seeks the support of ALL CANA- DIANS who believe strongly in PERSONAL FREEDOM and INDIVIDUAL ENTERPRISE. While others propose a cure by treating the symptoms, SOCIAL CREDIT realizes there is a BASIC CAUSE of our prob- lems, and has a definite SOLUTION by treating that BASIC CAUSE. MODERN CANADA MUST HAVE A MONEY SUPPLY. Money can now ONLY come into existence through DEBT. Under our present Financial System we MUST HAVE DEBT, This is WRONG, for people cannot be truly FREE under a DEBT BONDAGE SYSTEM. Under a truly FREE SYSTEM, people should be able to pay their debt WITHOUT destroying Can- ada's MONEY SUPPLY. The Benson Tax Plan is NOT Tax Reform, but is a means of taking MORE of YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY. True Tox Reform is TAX REDUCTION. This is the SOCIAL CREDIT ANSWER. It CAN BE DONE. WHAT WILL SOCIAL CREDIT DO? 1. REDUCE YOUR TAXES, especially those known to be Socialistic. Operate on a BALANCED BUDGET. We know this CAN BE DONE. 3. Replace Welfare Handouts with Job Opportunities, through a sufficient Canadian MONEY SUPPLY, created WITHOUT DEBT. 1. We cannot borrow ourselves out of Debt. The Na- tional Debt CAN BE PAID, if Canada adapts an HONEST MONEY SUPPLY SYSTEM. 5. No Business, [Yofession, or Industry will be So- cialized. No need For this with a SCIENTIFIC MONEY SUPPLY SYSTEM. 6. Present Bureaucratic and Dictatorial Government Policies will BE ELIMINATED. YOU will hove the GREATEST FREEDOM EVER KNOWN. (AP) The Washington State attorney general's office filed a request for an injunction here against fund raising activities of the National Cancer Society. The complaint filed in Spo- kane Superior Court asks that the court declare that Nation- al Cancer officials have "breached their duties as trus- tees to a charitable trust.' The complaint asks that the society's officials be removed from Bicir duties as trustees and a permanent trustee be ap- pointed. The state suit also wants pres- ent trustees to account for all money collected and turn what- ever remains over to the per- manent trustee. The state action comes two days after Spokane Police Chief Wayne Hendren temporarily suspended a city charity solici- tation licence at the request of corporation counsel, who had claimed the society may be guilty of fraud in their fund drive. After about four days, the official nearch around Wood- land, Wash., the area where Cooper was believed to have landed, was called off. But an unofficial treasure hunt began in earnest. Sheriff Charles Gill says in- formation released by the FBI indicates that if the hijacker bailed out in the Woodland area, the odds are he didn't make it safely to the ground. On the chance that D. NO REWARD OFFERED If the searchers do find the U.S. Attorney Stan Pitkin says, the money must be returned to the airline. Fit- kin says he knows of no re- ward offered for recovery of the money, which was given to Cooper in serial numbers recorded by authorities. To the delight of promoters and the displeasure of law and airline officials, the saga of D. B. Cooper is being popu- larized in a twangy ballad that sold copies and de- picted on a T-shirt that shows a parachute floating down- ward with a case of money. The title of the song and the caption of the T-shirt illustra- tion are the same: D. B. Cooper, Where Are You? The shirt is the creation of Dick Kaiser, a 29-year-old res- taurant employee who said he presented his first one as a joke to a deputy sheriff who predicted D. B. Cooper would be caught before Christmas Eve. Kaiser says he has since sold about of the T-shirts at each wholesale. The song D. B. Cooper, Where Arc You? has received a similarly cool reception from law enforcement offi- cers, although several Seattle radio stations report hundreds ot requests for the record, sung by local nightclub singer Tom Bresh. U.S. Marshal 'Charles Rob- inson of Seattle disapproves of the image of Cooper as folk hero. "Cooper is neither a hero of sorts nor a Robin Hood by any he says, "He endangered the lives of inno- cent people and his actions encourage similar behavior by others who might also have aberrant inclinations." f i ASPHALT PAVING TOLLESTRUP Construction Co.
