V. Christie, liave sought also to express their hearty appreciation of the citizens of the com-ntUnlty who have responded readily to their appeals in tJie cause they represent. Each year has added to the usefulness the capacity and the members of this organization and the futnre shows the need of all such ef- ' torts tor kindliness and aid due to . the great war..'As will be noted from the report given below these ladies have sought to Interest our school ciUdren In the work of providing com forts for the soldiers overseas. There Is. a large item expended for wool used In knitting. To aid this fund they are giving on Friday evening, . M&rch 1st, a "War Supper," to be served at the court house from six to eight o'clock p.m., and all are In-Tlted to be present. There will be as additional attractions "fortune telling booths" and also an Informal dance Jolowlng later In the evening. The success of alt their previous efforts presages a big attendance and a good time for all who are present. Their report is herewith appended and needs no conunendatlon as to the good work performed. The Report The Hampshire Chapter has just completed a very sudcessful year. Commencing with 23 members, two have Joined during the year, Eleven regular, one special, and five tiXBCutlve meetings have been held during the year.
