The athlete is finding himself forced into playing a strange, unnatural role and he is starting to rebel. One of the most critical and articulate professional athletes is Bill Bradley of the N.Y. Knicks who spent two years at Oxford on a Rhodes scholarship. Bradley was filmed at Madison Scuare Garden in New York in action, and later sitting in the stands analyzing the discontent of the athlete. Bradley, as do others, places the blame on the action-hungry fan. Their money has drawn manipulative entrepreneurs into sports to cash in on the TV sports bonanza. They also raise the players to superhero status and drop him 'when he doesn't fulfill their expecta tions.
