Hosts and commentators for Canadian audiences will be CTV sports direc- tor, Johnny Esaw; Olym- pic gold and silver medalists Otto Jelinek and Debbie Wilkes The pairs finals will be seen live March 5. Cana- dian team members are Sandra and Val Bezic Candy Jones and Don Fraser, and Kathy Hutchinson arid Jamie McGrigor. Thursday, March 6, Canadian hopes will rest on Toller Cranston. Competing in the men's finals along with Ron Shaver and Bob Rubens, Toller needs the gold this year to ensure his place in the Olympics. In the event Ron Shaver is still sidelin- ed by injury, Stan Bohonek will be his alternate. The ladies' finals, telecasting live March 7, will include Lynn Nightingale and Kim Allet- son. On March 8, Wide World of Sports devotes an hour and a half to taped highlights of the pairs', men's and ladies' finals. And, finally, the dance finals will be telecast March 9, featuring Canadians Barbara Berezowski and David Porter, and Susan Car- scallen and Eric Gillies.
