Lethbridge Herald, The (Newspaper) - February 19, 1974, Lethbridge, Alberta Tuesday, February LETHBRIDOE HERALD-3 Moses Lake, one of the larger settlements on the Blood Reserve, is only a stone's throw from the Town of Cardston, but the border line between them separates two often very different worlds. What little poverty exists in Cardston is grossly overshadowed by the inner-city ghetto-like conditions in Moses Lake. The settlement is supplied with sewer and water from Cardston, but some of the homes, like the ones these boys live in, remain unconnected to the services. Like most of the poverty areas on the reserve, poor housing is the most visible manifestation of the dismal life that about 500 people experience here every day. -Photographs by BILL GROENEN Text by WARREN CARAGATA ;
