Lethbridge Herald, The (Newspaper) - February 19, 1972, Lethbridge, Alberta Munro plans tighter drug laws JOHN fllUMIO OTTAWA fCP) Tlestriclive new regulations on the prescrip- tion by doctors of amphetam- ines and methadone are ex- peeled to be announced this week by Health Minister John Muni'o. The restrictions may limil sharply the use of amphetam- ines, known by street users as in tire treatment of obesity and depression. A survey by the Canadian Medical Association a year ago found that, in one week, legal prescriptions for amphe- tamines were issued.
