Lethbridge Herald, The (Newspaper) - February 19, 1972, Lethbridge, Alberta Munro plans tighter drug laws JOHN MUNRO OTTAWA (CP) Restrictive icw regulations on the prescrip- tion by doctors of amphetam- ines and methadone are ex- pected to be announced this week by Health Minister John Munro. The restrictions may limit shaiply the use of amphetam- ines, known by street users as in the treatment of obesity and depression. A survey by the Canadian Medical Association a year ago found that, in one week, legal prescriptions for amphc (amines were issued.
