DEATHS EDGAR Thomas Gibson, passed away in Lethbridge on Friday, February 15, 1974 at the age of 88 years. Mr. Edgar was born in Scotland on September 4, 1885. He taught textiles at the Glasgow Technical College and later managed a textile mill for over 40 years. He came to Canada and Lethbridge in ,1969, where he has since resided. He was a life member of the Masonic Lodge in Scotland. He is survived by one son, William in England; two daughters, Mrs. Mary Headridge of Scotland and iMrs. Janet Larsen of .Lethbridge; two grandchildren and four great- igrandchildren. He was 'predeceased by his wife, Helen, in 1951 and by a granddaughter, Eleanor in 11967. Funeral services will be fheld Tuesday, February 19, 1974 at p.m. in the I Christensen Chapel, with Rev. L. D. Hankinson officiating. Interment will follow in the Mountain View Cemetery. CHRISTENSEN SALMON 'FUNERAL HOME LTD., Directors of Funeral Service. C7440 FURUKAWA Sueji passed away in Lethbridge on Friday, February 15, 1974, at the age of 57 years, beloved husband of Mrs. Kimiyo (Kim) Furukawa of Iron Springs. The late Mr. Furukawa was born, raised and educated in West Vancouver, B.C. He then moved to Slocan City, B.C. during war time and in December 16, 1943, moved to Iron Springs, where he resided and operated Suey's General Store. He was an active member in the executive board of the Picture Butte Buddhist Church, L.N.J.C.S. Judo Club, secretary of the Iron Springs Water Co-op and a member of tiie Fish and Game Association. Besides Ms loving wife, Kimiyo, he is survived by three sons, and one daughter; Richard of Lethbridge, James of Lethbridge, Michael of Iron Springs and Mrs. Fred (Toshi) Mitchell of Calgary; three grandchildren; and three brothers, Akio Furukawa of Taber, Slug Furukawa of Lethbridge and -Hank Furukawa of Vancouver, B.C. Wake and funeral services will be held Sunday, February 17, 1974 at p.m. in the .Picture Butte Buddhist Church, with Rev. Y. Izumi and Mr. G. Fukanaga Interment will be held Monday at a.m. in the Christensen Chapel (327 10 St. S.) with interment following in the Mountain View Cemetery. Mrs. Flexhaug was born in Bemjamin, Utah the daughter of Dave and Eliza .Jane Richardson on Jan. 18, 1901. She moved to Raymond with her parents in 1903 and to the Manyberries District in 1913. She married Christ Flexhaug on June and they were blessed with six children; Clarence of Taber, Mable Zuehlke of Lethbridge, Rose Kittleson of Barons, Alvin of Manyberries, Hazel Munday of Sparwood and Evelyn Speager of Sparwood, B.C.; 29 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband. Christ in 1961 and by two grandchildren, one brother, David Richardson of Raymond and four sisters. Mrs. Lorena Flexhaug of Raymond, Mrs. Verda Tynan of Calgary, Mrs. Jane Gourley of Lethbridge and Mrs. Laura Atwood also of Raymond. Following her husband's passing she moved to Lethbridge. where she resided at the time of her passing. Funeral services will be held Monday. February 18. 1974 at p.m. in the Taylor Stake Chapel with Bishop Willard Paxman officiating. Interment will follow in the Family Plot in the Archmount Memorial Gardens.
