Gloria Egeland of Taber lassed away on Friday 'ebruary 14th, 1975 al the ag >f 48 years. Born in Norway .he late Mr. Egeland was a ong time resident or the Cir :le Hill area. Besides his lov ng wife Gloria, he is survivei jy two daughters, Mrs. Dale Xouise) Waddle of Medicine Hat, Patricia at home; fou jons, Boyd, Steven, Rober 3nd Byron, all at home; threi sisters; Mrs. 0. (Taletta Dorchak of Calgary, Mrs. R (Alma) Osberg of Picture Butle, Mrs. H. (Gladys Hagen of Enchant; six brothers, Olai of Vauxhall Magnus of Kelowna, B.C. Otto of Lethbridge, Arthur Gordon and Butch, all o Enchant; father Mr. Oskar Egeland of Picture Butte. He was predeceased by hi mother in December 1969. The funeral service will be' held on Monday, February 17th at 2 p.m. in the Enchant Free Evangelical Church with Rev Tony Hanson and Rev. Ben Wall officiating. In lieu ol flowers those who wish may donate to the charity of their choice. Interment will follow in the Enchant Cemetery Funeral arrangements by REARDON'S FUNERAL SERVICE, Taber C6473 SAKAMOTO Mr. Ken Yoshio Sakamoto, beloved husband of Mrs. Amy Sakamoto of Taber passed away in Lethbridge, on Thurs- day, February 13th, 1975 at the age of 52 years. Born in Pitt Meadows, B.C., the late Mr. Sakamoto moved to Taber in 1942 where he had resided until the time of his passing. He was very active in church affairs, being presi- dent of the Taber Buddhist Church for five years and also held the position of President of the Japanese Canadian Citi- zens Association. Besides his loving wife, Amy, he is surviv- ed by one daughter, Michelle of Taber. three sons Neal and Dwight of Lethbridge, and Nelson of Taber; one sister Mrs. Joe (Suzie) Miyada of Taber; three brothers, Mas of Lethbridge, Eddie of Revelsloke, and Wayne of Vancouver. The late Mr.- Sakamoto was predeceased by his father, in 1961, and by his mother in 1971. A Wake Ser- vice will be held on Sunday, February 16th, at 7 p.m. in the Taber Buddhist Church, with Rev. Y. Izumi officiating, and Mr. G. Fukunaga assisting The funeral service will be held on Monday, February 17th, at 10 a.m. in Reardon's Funeral Chapel. Interment to follow in Taber Memorial Garden. Mr. Hovik also survived by si grandchildren, a brothe Martin'Hovik and a siste Mrs. Margaret Peterson hoi in Norway. He was born i Norway, May 3rd, 1909 an raised and educated then Immigrated to Canada in 192 and farmed in Saskatchewa and Alberta until returning t Norway where he served dur ing World War II with th Norweign Navy. He the returned to Canada and farn ed in the Manyberries distric until moving to Vancouver i 1957 where he worked as th Seaman on a Merchan Vessel. In 1968 he returned t Seven Persons, Alberta an farmed until retiring in 197' Mr. Hovik was a member o the Eagles Lodge, Robcrtso Memorial Branch Canadia Legion and Past Master o Manyberries Lodge No. 13; A.F. and A.M. C6464 FONTANA Benjami (Beny) beloved husband o Veronica Fontana o Coleman, passed away Wed nesday, February 12th, 1975 at the age of 62 years. He wa born in Italy on April 30th 1912. He came to Canada in 1913, settling in Coleman where he had resided since He also resided in Big Valley from 1930-1935. He marrie< the former Veronica Uhrin in Blairmore in 1941. He workei at the International, Miche and Vicary mines until retir ing due to ill health in 1972. He was a member of the Coleman Elk's Lodge and Italian Society. He was predeceasee by his father in Lethbridge in 1973, his mother in 1974 in Blairmore and one sister Elsie in 1949 in Champion Besides his wife Veronica he s survived by two daughters Mrs T (Bernice) Bragg of ligh River, Marion at home; one son Ronald serving with .he RCMP at Prince George, 3.C.; two brothers Elmo of Blairmore and Elvino of Ed- monton; three grandchildren. will be said in the loly Spirit Ch'urch at Coleman Friday evening at 7 p.m. Requiem Mass will be -elebrated at the Holy Spirit Church ,at Coleman at .m.
