Oddities in the News HURST _ Passed away in the city on Saturday, March 11, 1972 following a brief illness, Mr. Montague Herbert Clifford (Shorty) Hurst, at the age of 68 years, beloved husband of Mrs. Winnifred Florence Hurst of 1901 10th Avenue N. The fu- neral service will be held on Wednesday at p.m.. in St. Augustine's Anglican Church, with Rev. R. L. Crisfield offi- ciating, assisted by Capt. I. K. Savers and Hev. Father B. Field. Interment will follow in the Field of Honour, Mountain I View Cemetery. Friends may pay their respects at Martin Bros. MEMORIAL CHAPEL, 703 13th St. X. Phone 328-2361. March 12, 1972, following a "brief illness, Mrs, Minnie Ellen Oseen, at the age of 88 years, beloved wife of Mr. Claus Oseen of Cal- gary. Born at Bismark, North Dakota, the late Mrs. Oseen came to Canada in 1S08 to the Sur.dial District, where she farmed with her husband unti retiring to Calgary in 1948. Be- sides her loving husband, she is survived by two daughters four sons, 25 grandchildren anc 40 great-grandchildren. The fu- neral service will be held on Wednesday at p.m., in Martir Bros.
