McManus Deputy Minister of Highways and Transport M28 AUESTAD Asbjorn, of Vauxhall, passed away on March 10th, 1972, at the age of 80 years. Bora in Norway, Mr. Auestad came to Lethbridge in 1910. He farmed in the Ken- m'ngdale district until 1937 when he moved to the Circle KQU area, where he continued farming. He retired to the town of Vauxhall in 1962 and has re- sided there until his passing. He is survived by one brother, Anton in Norway and four sis- ters, Mrs. Klara Midtbo, Mrs. Anna Opstad and Mrs. Tora Vatnamot, aJl in Norway and Mrs. Martha Skretting of Vaux- haTl; and also by numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held from the [bbestad Lutheran Church in Enchant on Wednesday, March 15th at 2 p.m., with Pastor J. Rismiller officiating. I WONG Passed away in the city on Sunday, March 12, 1972, ollowing a brief illness, Mr. Gim Wing Wong, at the age of 75 years, of 309 2nd Avenue S., beloved husband of Mrs. Sato Wong. Born in China in 1896 the late Mr. Wong came to Van- couver in 1912 and moved to Lethbridge in 1917. He was a partner in the Shanghai Chop Suey Co. for the past 24 years. Besides his wife he is survived by one son Mr. Eoy Ken Ging Wong of Lethbridge; one daughter, Mrs. Yick Ho Chow, Hong Kong; nine grandchildren and several sisters and broth- ers in China. The ser- vice will be held on Monday, March 20th at p.m., in the Chinese National League Hall, with Rev. Dr. R. W. K. Elliott officiating.
