Hall was installed president of the Taber Royal Canadian Legion and auxiliary recently. He succeeds Harvey Pommen. Also installed were E. Arvid Nordquist and Bruce Martin, first and second vice president respectively. Rev. E. H. Lewis was installed as padre. Members of the executive are: Stanley Reamsbottom, Tony Zelinsky, David Gardner, Ron Ellis, Steve Levsask, William Donick, Don Calloway and Scotty Ferguson with Mrs. Ethel Fekcte secretary. The Auxiliary officers are: Grace Corbett, president; Jean Sowinsky and Mary Baroldi, first and second vice presidents; Myrtle McLaughlin, secretary and Effie MacKenzie, treasurer. Members of the executive are: Annabelle Christensen, Kay Biholar, Frances Goruk, Myrtle Nordquist, Margaret Lewis and Vicki Ziebert. Sawlog scale halved CRANBROOK (Special) The January sawlog scale, com- piled by the B.C. Forest Service for the Kootenay Boundary area, totals cubic feet, slightly less than half for the same month in 1974. Among species, spruce halved to 2.5 million cubic feet. This is the high altitude species, heavily logged in winter when mills are building up a backlog. Granum board has new face GRANUM (HNS) John Kroetcsh has resigned from the Granum recreation board and has been replaced by Mark Ellingson. President Don Gassner was returned to office. Also re elected were Donna Barnes, secretary; Charlotte Knapek, treasurer; and Russell Blair, vice president. Alt Dunlop is a member. Bus driver's care recognized GRANUM (HNS) Charles Wesley has been recognized by the Alberta government and the Willow Creek School Division board for 25 years of safe school bus driving and accident free service. The Willow Creek Bus Drivers Association honored drivers Chester Eld and George Horsebourgh, both of Nanton, Holy Hahn of Granum and Boyd Loyst of Fort Macleod for 15 years of driving service in the school division. Trophies were presented to these drivers at the recent an- nual banquet and dance in the Blunden Memorial Hall here. Agriculturalist honored MEDICINE HAT (CP) Jack Anderson, a district agriculturalist for nearly 30 years before his recent retirement at the age of 60, was honored by 500 persons at a banquet Friday night. .He was instrumental in the settling program of the St. Mary's Bow River Irrigation District and was responsible for the formation of most 4-H club activities in the area. Mr. Anderson was one of three district agriculturalists in Alberta who received the centennial medal in 1967 for contributions to agriculture.
