Lethbridge Herald, The (Newspaper) - February 10, 1975, Lethbridge, Alberta Monday, February 10, 1975 THE LETHBRIDGE HERALD 17 Venue spectators offered free rides The City of Lethbridge is offering residents of the city an expanded bus tran- sportation service during the 1975 Canada Winter Games. And not only will the number of buses be ex- panded, but they will all be free as well. This service will enable Lethbridge residents to ride the regular transit system for free, and also be able to travel to all the different venue sites in Lethbridge, free of charge. Games transportation chairman Art Batty, through the co operation of the city, announced the addition-of the special cir- cuit buses, as well as the free service. The circuit buses will en- compass three routes in the city, all of which will originate from the athlete's village, located at the Lethbridge Collegiate Institute. These special buses will go into operation Feb. 11, and will transport not only athletes to the various venue sites throughout, the city, but spectators as well. Two buses will be assigned to each of the three routes. The first route will take passengers from the athlete's village to venue sites in North Lethbfidge, including Siwik Pool and Winston Churchill High School. The second route will transport athletes and spectators to venue sites located at the Exhibition Pavilion and the Sportsplex, while the third route will handle venue sites located at the Civic Centre, Lethbridge Curling Club, Yates Centre and the University of Lethbridge.
