Lethbridge Herald, The (Newspaper) - February 5, 1974, Lethbridge, Alberta TSE prices dip in active trade TORONTO (CP) The To- ronto stock market recovered some of its early decline but prices remained fractionally lower in active mid-morning trading today. The industrial index, consid- ered the main indicator of market trend, was off .27 to 211.29 and western oils 1.43 to 265.47. Golds rose 13.4 to 565.45 and base metals .84 to Volume by lla.m. was 2.89 million shares, up sharply from 1.32 million at the same time Monday. Declines edged advances 161 to 160 with 190 issues un- changed. Real estate, general manufacturing, communication and paper and forest stocks were among sectors of the market to decline while steel, beverage, industrial mining and merchandising issues gained.
