Fast and Sexy A religious documentary Jerusalem meeting place of tliree greatest faiths For thousands of years, Jerusalem and the Holy Land have been a major meeting point for three, of the world's greatest monotheistic faiths - Christianity, Judaism, and Islam. For millions of Christians, Moslems and Jews who, in their own very different ways, accept the historical Jesus Christ, the Holy Land and its great city stand for unity - a "focal point" by which they may someday attain a greater understanding and appreciation of each other. On Monday, Feb. 5 at 10 p.m., CBC television will present a repeat telecast of Meeting Point, an hour-long religious documentary on the Holy Land and its current revival of popular and theological interest in Jesus Christ. Last year, Leo Rampen, executive director of Man Alive, spent several weeks in the Holy Land, working with an Israeli film crew to prepare this unique hour-long documentary. Featured are splendid visual scenes of Jerusalem, as well as commentary by prominent person-alities associated with the unique phenomenon that is tin's age-old city of history and tradition. "Meeting Point is a new production focussing on the current revival of popular and theological interest in Jesus Christ," comments Mr. Rampen. "It attempts to put into relief Christ as a man, born in the Holy Land, whose life and teaching arose from this environment and its traditions." The hom--long CBC-TV Easter production was directed and produced by Mr. Rampen, from an original idea by the Rev. Brian Freeland. Script is by Dr. George Whalley of Queen's University, Kingston, Ontario, and original music is composed by Dr. Samuel Dolin of the Royal Conservatory of Music, Toronto. 'Emergency' cited example of gocdi television is doing BURBANK - R. A. Cinader, producer of NBC Television Network's "Emergency!" series, points to his show as an example of some of the good television is doing. "Although the show reflects paramedic experiences in reality, it also has served to promote the general acceptance of the need for such a paramedic program, which, at times, is crucial to the saving of lives," he said. Strictly ad-iib Recently on NBC-TV's "Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson," Sammy Davis Jr., mentioned how comfortable he felt without a coat. Spontaneously, Sammy, Carson, Shecky Greene and Ed McMahon, all shed their coats and tossed them on the stage. Strictly ad-lib. Cinader explained that one of the major reasons for this type of field medicine is to reduce the mortality rate during the first critical minutes. Making a point of the fact that doctors rarely make house calls these days, Cinader explained that the paramedic program furnishes an extension of the eyes and arms of the doctor via direct radio contact with the hospital. Thus far, firemen have responded to the paramedic need. This was a natural development, since firemen take first aid training and usually are among the first to respond to an emergency. The five - month training program is capped with a three-month internship. The Director of Hospitals for Los Angeles County has already certified 80 paramedics since the program's inception.
