On index, industrials were down .05 to 174.25, golds .25 to 1C0.70 and western oils .73 to Base metals were up .22 to 90.65. Volume by 11 a.m. was shares, up from at the Eamo time Wednesday, Gains outnumbered losses 122 to 85 with 159 issues unchanged. Weakest sectors were banks and merchandising.
