A new sawmill development will be built at the new town of Fox about 150 miles northwest of and an integrated timber develop- ment will be constructed at about 100 miles northwest of this city. Dr. Warrack said at least 600 jobs will be provided by the projects. He said construction is ex- pected to begin in both centres this spring. Fox Creek Lumber Ltd. a consortium of local will build a large mill to han- dle more than 40 million board of lumber a year and provide at least 175 jobs. Simpson Timber Comoanv will undertake a three-phase development at starting with a sawmill development capable of handl- ing 95 million board feet. Phase II includes manufac- ture of at least five million board feet of poplar lumber and construction of facilities to manufacture and distribute laminated beam products. Phase III will involve a large secondary industrial development a fibre- processing facility utilizing .mill residue. He began his baseball career at Retlaw. Alberta. He played for teams in Vauxhall. Taber. Nanton and finally with the Picture Butte Royals. He worked for The Canadian Sugar Factories from 1939 un- til 1971 when he retired. Ted always had a project un derway. He ran a barber shop in Picture as well as operating a taxi for a short time. He did the mechanical work on his own automobile as well as those of his friends. His hobbies were watch fishing. The late Mr. Malmberg was a charter member of the Pic- ture Butte Elks. Vasa and one of the founding members ol the Picture Butte Fire Department Besides his loving wife he is surviv- ed by one son Edward Malmberg. Picture two Mrs. R. The late Mr. Hunt was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Nobleford and Eastern Star of Carmangay. The funeral service will be held at p.m. on December 1973 in Martin Bros.
