There were at present two cases of infectious diseases in the city both typhoid fever. Nineteen plumb- ing inspections had been. made. A code of regulations relating to lodg- ing and boarding houses- had been pre- pared and submitted to the city so- licitor for approval and revision. The report advised that some steps be taken for the removal of ashes from premises. That was not pro- vided for in the present refuse con- tract. Alderman Bowman ask-ed the Sec- retary-Treasurer what it was cost- ing the city for its scavenging. Mr. Robinson stated that it cost a hun- dred and ten dollars a month for sca- venging and twenty-five dollars a week for the night soil man. Alderman Hatch stated that he thought the citizens paid for the lat- ter service.
