Dr. aud Mrs. Colin A, Thomson of the University of Lethbridge staff were the recipients of "The Good Samaritan" act on a recent trip to attend convoca- tion ceremonies when their car broke down within a few miles of Red Deer. They managed to reach a service station in that city, and upon relating their plight to J. Sfeventon, the'proprietor, were given tbe keys to Mr. Stevenfon's private automobile as a ban, so'that they might be enabled to arrive at the sched- uled hour of convocation. The "man's humanity to man" gesture was furth- er enhanced by the fact that giver and receivers j had not previously met. It was an act truly deserv- j ing of recognition in this world where the art of giv- j c ing is not at high tide. The residents of AJberta, Red Deer in particular, are indeed fortunate to have citizens of Mr. Sfeventon't calibre. Xow let's show the world what we're made of here in southern AJberta.
