At p.m., Cue The An gels, a color special seen origin ally last Christmas, will be re pcated. It is a charming and captivating peek into a child's view of Christmas as seen through eyes of grade six students who put together and rehearsed their own play aboul the very first Christmas. At 3 p.m., .Christmas at Sainte Marie, featuring the choir of St. Michael's Choir School singing the Huron Carol records a three-day live-in by a group of men. including Jes- uit priests, who found out for themselves just how hard life was in the mid-17th century when Jesuits set up a mission near what is now Midland, Ont. to preach Christianity to the Huron Indians. Immediately following at 3-30 p.m., is a repeat telecast of Christmas Remembered, a lyri- cal montage of film 'that looks at past and present during Christmas time in Canada. Ten thousand drawings by children, plus audio and video tapes, slides, models, plays and poems contributed by children from -across Canada to express their .personal concept of God, resulted in a special Man Alive production at 4 p.m., called God Is The program is a repeat from the previous Mon- day night's Man alive program and is being shown on Christ- mas Day so that children might see it. Famed O. Henry Yule story presented in musical form "On location in Winipeg" in winter conjures the shivers, and it was in 11 to 30 degree be- low zero temperatures that CBC producer director Don Williams conducted the filming of a musical drama. A Gift for Maggie, for telecast on the CBC-TV network on Christmas Day at 8 p.m., in color. The production was shot last winter, with plenty of electric blankets at hand to keep the sound and camera equipment from freezing up. The cast and crew just had to take .care of themselves, by ducking into stores between takes. Based on the famous O. Hen- ry Christmas story, The Gift of the Magi, updated to the pres- ent, the special was conceived by Winnipeg's Neil Harris, who wrote the script, lyrics and mu- sic. A Gift for Maggie stars Rob- in Ward and Karen Marklinger as a young couple of the "now in love at Christ- mastime with Christmas dreams, but no money.
