PROGRAM, OFF-CAMPUS PROGRAM fND SUMMER SESSION 1 PROGRAM ADMISSION: Admission may be gained under either the regular admission program or the special mature student procedure which is open to everyone over 21 years of age who does not meet the regular entrance requirements. COURSE SELECTIONS: Students will have freedom to shop around at the beginning of each semester. This will be particularly appealing to people having limited association with the University by providing an opportunity to sample and select the most desirable courses of personal interest. IDENTICAL DEGREE: The programs are the same as those offered during the day - by the same faculty people - and this will ensure consistency of the academic standard. BUS SERVICE: Regular bus service will ensure the accessibility of the west campus for evening classes. PARKING: i� available. Please contact the Business Office (329-2469) for parking permits. FOOD SERVICES: Complete hot meal and snack bar services will be available. HOUSING SERVICES: On-campus residential accommodation for approx. 400 students is provided in one of the most unique residences on the continent. Combinations of single and double rooms in suite arrangements are available to single persons and married couples (no children). For details about the residences as well as the off-campus listing provided by the Housing Office contact the Director, D. Jensen. STUDENT SERVICES: All regular student services will be available to persons interested in taking a degree during the evening - financial assistance and awards, counselling, food services, faculty advisors, health services, bookstore, library, placement, student society, etc. AUDIT: Persons who wish to take courses for interest i.e. audit, not credit - can register as Auditors. The fee for this is $32.50 per course. No transcripts need be submitted under this category. REGISTRATION: Information on registration procedures and Application for Admission and Registration or Audit forms can be obtained from the Registrar, The University of Lethbridge, Lethbridge, Alberta. DOCUMENTS: Students who have never been admitted to the University must ensure that admission forms and other documents are submitted to the Registrar's Office as soon as possible. Deadline for receipt of mailed in Off-campus registration forms - January 28, 1972. On-campus registration - January 10, 1972. Interested persons should contact the Registrar (329-2231) concerning admission procedures or the Faculty of Arts and Science office of Continuing Education (329-2244), or the Faculty of Education, office of Continuing Education (329-2255). For a more detailed description of the various courses offered and the B.A. Program ask the Registrar's office to provide you with a University Calendar for 1971-72. *By special arrangement, students in Arts and Sciences may take courses for credit through independent studies; designated numbers are 2990, 3990, 4990 in a particular discipline. Detailed information on the availability of such courses may be obtained from the department in which the student wishes to carry out his study. The foregoing program must be regarded as tentative; the University reserves the right to cancel, or substitute for any of the above courses if it considers circumstances so require.
