Little, of Carmangay, has Kold his drug and stationery business to Messrs. Foilis & Findley. Mr. Fol-lis lives at present in Macleod, and Mr. Findley is from Detroit, Mich. Noted Police Matron Dead \ Chief Davis of tlic police depant-nicnt received word yesterday oY the death in Toronto of Mrs. Agnes n. Wheddon, for years one of the matrons of the Toronto police force. While the chief was inspector of the No. 1 division Mrs. Wheddon was in his department. Slie had a gold medal from the city council of Toronto for her bravery in nursing the sick at the time of the smallpox epidemic in Toronto In 1888. Legal Firm Dlesolvet The old firm of Campbell & Faw-eett, ofMaclood, Intend dissolving by mutual arrangement, on December 31. Mr. Campbell will occupy offices in the M'acdcnnell Block, and will devote his whole attention to Crown work and the loaning business. Mr. Pawcett will remain, at the present offices in tlie Great West Saddlery Block, and will continue the general law practice of the firm, The story sent the Herald by Its Macleod correspondent about Mr. Brovoskl joining the firm was misleading, and the Her-al4 regrets the mistake. Death of Mrs. J. O. McKay The death of Mrs. J. D. McKay, aged 78 years, took place In the city yesterday, at the- residence of Detective-Sergt. Asti, of the Mounted Police. The deceased lady has been a resident in thls' helghbcrhood for many years, Her husband, Daniel McKay, who died some years ago, was one of the first alders of Knox Church. The surviving mombors of the family are: Daniel McKay, Barons; Mrs. Hood, of Hiiierest; Mrs. Geo. Crawford, Irvine, and Mrs. Jardlnc, Lethbridge. Two grandsons, Spurgeon and James, roaldo at Harojis.
