Engines Rebored aie.^alAvt.-S. ,,*|*OM 1782 f IICMSPITAL Notice to Ratepayers In accordance with the terms of the Municipal Hospital Act, petitions were received on July 25 by the minister of public health at Edmonton asking for the creation of a municipal hospital district including the territory described below. Complying with these . pelitionB, the minister of public health .established the Cardston municipal hospital district on July 29. Following the establisiiment of the district the municipal councils in the said district, in accordance with the terms o� the act, duly appointed a hospital board to prepare a scheme for the building and operating of a hospital in the said district. The hospital board met and prepared the scheme outlined below. This scheme is now, under the direction of the minister *of public health, to be advertised throughout the said I district for a period of fourteen days, following which, providpng all other conditions {have ,� been compiled with, the scheme will be finally approved, ' and a date fixed, not exceeding thirty days from the date "Bf such approval, upon which the ratepayers of . the said district will be called upon to vote for the adoption or rejection of the said scheme. The territory In- ' eluded in the hospital district is as . follows;. . (a) Town of Cardston. (b) Improvement District No. S. fc) Improvement District No. 9. Id) MunlcipaK District No. 10 (east of Waterton- river). . (e) Improvement D.istrict No. 38 �( i'ownshlp i,' Ranges 22, 23 3nd.24, and all that portion of . ' To.^vnship 5, Range 24,,east of St. Mary's river). The hospital scheme submitted by the board .iiippn >vliich the ratepayers Avill be asked to vote is as follows: 1.-To purchase," the already existing Cardston hospital from the Card-pton Hospital, Limited, for the sum of ?6,500:00, to include land, building's and equipment, and to improve s'aine to meet the re- � 'ciuirements of the district. 2.-The location of the hospital to be in the town of Cardstojj.l 3.-To supplement the revenue 'derived from taxation by a schedule of fees, as under: Bona fide ratepayers, and members of his or her family, and female domestic help, ?1.00 per hospital day.  All resident non-ratepayers upon the payment of the sum of ?4.80 to the hospital board within three months from the date of, adoption of this scheme, and annually thereafter; such payment to be made on or* before the first day of March, shall'be entitled to the same rate per hospital day as ratepayers. Operating room free to ratepayers and resident' npn-ratepayers paying the above amount. Nonresidents, ?3.00 per hospital day. Operating room' charges, $2.00 for minor, and $5.00 for major operations. 4.-To create a debenture indebtedness of $12,500.00.
