William Fryer Dead Williant Fr.ver, who was fanilliariy known as the janitor of. the Sherlock Building, died last evening, after a brief Jllnoss. Deceased was fifty years of age, and is survived by two sisters living in Eiigland. The funeral will take place tomorrow afternoon at 2.30 from Fetterly's undertaklnji parolrs to the public cemetery. Battery Notes Arrangements , are being made whereby eight members of the 25th Battery will be able to attend the Royal School of Artillery at Kingston. The course start? at the beginning of the year, and lasts for three months. It la now some four years since the battery had any men taking this course, and as we now have the new ec|ulpment, It is to be hoped that the retiulred number will be able to get the advantages offered. The boys will be given free tra'BspoTtatlon to Klngstcn; and while attending the school will be paid apcordlng to their rank. At the present time the requlr-ed number has not been obtained, and if any of the members can attend this school, It Is to be.hoped that they will hand In their natnes at once.
