McCambly and Donald Mc- ibb, aldermen-elect, 'when seen by a erald representative today, express- d themselves as well pkased at the Jtcorr.e of the election. Both gentle- men have the same purpose in view; namely the propelling forward of Lethbridge as a live industrial centre. They claim that the ensuing: year will bo one of real significance in the his-i lory of the city, as it will mean the end for some time at least of the alder manic system of government. Mr. .McCambly an-d Mr. McNabb said they would do all intheir power to further tie interests of the city, and hoped that the new council would pull to-j gether as a unit in making a greater id better Lethbridse. Night Meetings of Council Considering the personnel of the council for 1013, it appears as if the meeting after the first of the year ivill be held in the evenings. In speak- ing of the matter this morning, Mr. i Hardie stated that the council can set the day and hour themselves; at the first meeting of the year, il hardly appeared likely that night meetings would be practicable. Both Alderman-elect .McCambly and Alder- man-elect McXabb have expressed their opposition to afternoon sittings X mas Presents Getting Near to the IMPORTANT DAY Let us help you select.
