Mr Faulkner said a new building for the National Gallery on the precipice overlooking the Ottawa River, west of Parliament Hill, should open for the gallery's centennial in 1980. New buildings for the two will be built later alongside Brewery Creek in Hull, he said The Museum of Man now shares quarters with the Museum of Natural Sciences in the recently renovated Royal Victoria Memorial Museum building in south central Ottawa The Museum of Science and Technology the most pop- ular of the national museums now is located in a former bakery and cookie factory on the south-eastern outskirts of the city Mr. Faulkner said costs of the new buildings have not been set, nor architects chosen. In keeping the gallery in Ot- tawa and moving the museums to Hull, the govern- ment was trying to strike a balance in the location of its cultural agencies on the two sides of the river in the capital area, he said The new museum buildings "will not be as elaborate as ROYAL WITNESS ALDERSHOT, England (CP) Brothers Alan and Herbert Nicholson, accused of "committing a nuisance" by raising a demonstration banner in front of the Queen, asked for her to be summoned as a witness on their behalf under the name of Mrs Philip's family name A court official said the Queen could not be forced to appear if she did not do so voluntarily, and Buck- ingham Palace predictably turned down the request the Ontario Science Centre in he added, but they will be attractive The gallery "may be more he said, but declared.
