Tenessc's Partner, a Western comedy, drama, was a play full of genuine interest, and well supplied with comedy scenes. Irving Kennedy as G-ee Whittacker Hay, took the bur- den of the .comedy and surprised and delighted his audience in the new role. Miss Verna' Felton as Tenessee Kent was as usual the star, and in the juvenile role, emphasized the ver- salility and cleverness of her act- The Allen Players are- putting; on a Rood line of plays and deserve the highest commendation. The company, will present the fam- ous drama, "Under Two Flags" next Tuesday, and Conan Doyle's sensa- tional story "Sherlock Holmes" on Thursday. John P. Hassay, who died .at Mount St. Louis, the age of 106 years, was probably the oldest postmaster in Canada. Boxing Bout To-night Considerable interest is being'tak- en in the fifteen-round bout to-night at the Eureka Theatre between Jack local favorite, and "Kid" Pidgeon, of Spokane, who has been taking on all comers in the welter- weight class in the Pass- Reports from the Crow speak highly 'of Pidgeon's ability, and he has quite a number of followers who will be down to see him go, and who think he can get away with the local boy handily. He is heavier by a few pounds and looks bigger than Clarke, and has had lots of ring experience. It is said Clarke will have to hit a lively clip to hold his own. Clarke and his backers, however, have all kinds of confidence in him winning. He has been training faithfully and hard and should be in first-rate condition.
