In Yoho, B.C., two of four fires were out of control with HO men working on the main blaze, 350 acres, on Mount Kurd near the Trans-Canada Highway. It had threatened to force the closure of the highway dur ing the weekend. In Mount Revelstoke, two fires covering 350 acres were merging near Lauretta about a mile west of the highway. Two water bombers and 22 men were fighting the fires, both reported out of control Monday by the national and historic parka branch.
